PATTERN NOTES:
If you want to make a striping pattern you will want to be sure you start your blanket with the main color. For this blanket, I began with a soft gray and then used the Yarnspiration PANTONE color pack to create the parade of stripes! (yarns linked below)
For the main blanket color you will want to complete 4 rows total. Then, the stripe will be done in 2 rows.
You have a lot of freedom to create a colorful combination to fit your exact creative style. So be sure and have fun as you make your very own parade of stripes blanket!

Do you have easy tips for learning to read instructions for beginners?
Jerica
the biggest piece of advice I can suggest is to learn all the main abbreviations.
For instance, SC means single crochet. DC means double crochet.
CH means chain. STS means stitches so on and so forth.
For this particular pattern, I do have a video you can use to following along with the written pattern and I believe it will greatly help you! 🙂

I have mainly made my blankets learning by videos. This time I watched your parade of stripes video and absolutely loved how easy you made each step. I am loving the colors I chose and how fast this blanket is going. Thank you for the detailed explanations. I do not know how to read diagrams or know what the patterns mean all the time. So your break down really helped make this pattern less complicated

That is so incredibly sweet of you to say!
